This is a very mysterious chuuhai. I’ve only seen it at one AEON, and although the can directs me to Oenon’s official site, I see no mention of this product in their chuuhai lineup. (Oenon is one of the lesser beverage companies in Japan, outside of the top tier of Asahi, Kirin, and Suntory. They may be even lower than Sangaria.)
This is the very high alcohol chuuhai I’ve reviewed. At 7% alcohol for 350 ml, it pack more punch than 50 mls of a standard 40% spirit like vodka. It contains almost no sugar (it could technically advertise itself as sugar free because it has less than one gram per 100 mls) and is extremely tart because it has a huge 11% natural lemon juice content. If you love lemons and don’t want to waste any time getting intoxicated, this is recommended, but I prefer something with a more pleasant and lighter taste.
