“Horoyoi” is a Japanese word meaning “tipsy.” The entries in Suntory’s Horoyoi line all offer 3% alcohol, a high amount of sugar, real fruit juice, and a very low amount of carbonated fizz. The low alcohol content means you won’t get wasted from just one can, but with one of the highest amounts of sugar on market, this line is clearly for light drinkers but not lite drinkers.

I enjoy this pleasant drink. It’s not as tangy as either of Asahi’s Fuwarich drinks; it’s gently smooth. I thank the honey for offsetting the astringent-yet-refreshing taste of lemon.
